Common questions about working together

Can I hire you for just one service, or does it have to be everything?

One service is completely fine. Plenty of engagements start as a technical audit or a schema build and stop there. If I think another layer would move the needle more, I'll say so — but I won't bundle work you don't need.

How do SEO and generative engine optimization fit together?

They share a foundation. Clean crawling, clear entities and well-structured content help both traditional rankings and the AI answers that increasingly sit above them. GEO adds extractable formatting, citation-worthy sourcing and monitoring of how assistants describe you.

How long before I see results?

Technical fixes can show up in days or weeks. Content and authority work usually takes three to six months to compound. I set expectations per project at the start and report against them monthly, so you always know where you are.

Do you work with in-house teams or replace them?

Almost always with them. I'm often the senior specialist who sets direction, trains the team and reviews the work — whether that's fractional, project-based, or as a full-time in-house hire.

What do you need from me to get started?

Read access to Google Search Console, GA4 and your CMS or staging environment, plus a short conversation about the business goals behind the traffic. That's enough for a first audit.

How is the work reported?

Prioritized recommendations with effort and expected impact, plus dashboards in Looker Studio or your tool of choice that connect search performance to leads and revenue rather than impressions alone.
